Law Firms

The case goes to whoever picks up first.

Intake sits at the front of every case, and it doesn't pause while a role is open. We place intake specialists, paralegals, legal assistants and case managers. They arrive vetted on Clio, MyCase and Filevine, tested on a live bilingual intake call, and clear on what a missed filing date costs. You interview a shortlist and pick. We don't invoice for the ones you don't hire.

The problem

What people tell us before they call

  • An empty desk in intake costs more than the salary line

A US intake specialist costs about $5,220 a month to employ and a paralegal about $7,330. Then someone leaves, and every call that arrives while the desk is empty is a case that signs somewhere else.

  • Hiring is a job, and it competes with the caseload

Writing the posting, reading the applications, running first rounds. That is partner or office-manager time, and none of it is billable. It is also the first thing to slip the moment a trial date moves.

  • A percentage of the salary, on every seat you fill

Legal recruiters charge 30–40% of first-year salary. That is $10,600–$54,300 on a single placement, and the same percentage again on the next one. The search behind both is the same search.

Roles and rates

What these roles cost, side by side

The roles we place most often for law firms. US figures are what the same seat typically costs to employ domestically.

US figures are what the seat costs an employer, not what the person is paid: base pay plus payroll taxes and benefits, at the 1.40 times base pay that the US Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes for private-sector employers. Divide by 1.40 to get back to the base salary. The Bionic figure is the salary you pay your hire directly, and it carries none of that load. So the two columns are not the same measure: one is a total cost to employ, the other is a salary. You employ the person directly and pay them yourself, and we never touch that money. Our own fee is $1,997, once, and only if you hire.

What you get

Vetted for this work specifically

  • Bilingual intake, tested in conversation

Legal intake specialists are assessed on client qualification, tone under pressure, and English/Spanish fluency in a live call, not from a line on a résumé.

  • No learning curve on your case management system

Candidates arrive vetted on Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther and Filevine, and on the vocabulary around them: conflict checks, statute dates, discovery deadlines. Week one is caseload, not training.

  • What the seat actually costs

A US intake specialist runs about $5,220 a month to employ. The same role here starts at $1,200, paid by you straight to the hire. We never touch that money and never take a percentage of it.

  • Unlimited replacements for 90 days

If the hire isn't right, we run the search again at no additional cost, as many times as it takes. The clock starts on their start date, not on the day they accept, so a notice period doesn't burn through your window.

The software we test against

Tool proficiency on a résumé has to survive an actual test. For law firms, that means the software below, assessed during vetting rather than taken on trust. Roughly the top 1% of applicants clear all 6 stages.

Questions

Law Firms, specifically

Do your candidates understand US legal processes?

Yes. We vet specifically for US legal knowledge: case management software, legal terminology, client intake practice, and confidentiality requirements. Many candidates have worked with US firms before.

Can I hire bilingual intake specialists?

Yes. Bilingual English/Spanish intake is one of our most-placed legal roles, and fluency in both languages is tested during vetting rather than taken on trust.

How quickly can I get someone started?

You'll have a shortlist in 6–10 business days from the intake call, and about 21 days from that call to your new hire's first day. That's the real range rather than the best case.

What if the paralegal doesn't work out?

We run the search again, free, as many times as it takes, for 90 days from their start date. There's no cap on replacements and no second fee.

How does pricing work for law firm hires?

$1,997 once per hire, invoiced on offer acceptance. Everything before that is free: the intake call, the sourcing, 6 stages of vetting, the shortlist, and every interview your partners sit in on. If nobody on the shortlist is right for you, there's nothing to pay. No monthly markup and no percentage of salary. You employ the candidate directly and pay their salary yourself; we don't sit in the middle of it.

Start the search. Decide later whether to hire.

A short intake call, then a shortlist of people who have already passed six stages of vetting.

About a minute to fill in. Then a 30 minute intake call, or four questions in writing instead. If nobody on the shortlist is right, we keep looking or we part ways, and you have spent nothing but the interview time.
